Big Brother Canada Recap: Episode 20

Big Brother Canada Recap

Two More Canadians Walk Out The Door

The game has been getting tougher and tougher with the numbers quickly diminishing and one alliance seems to be in charge of all things Big Brother Canada. At this point it is my guess that Jemmet (Jillet, Emillan?) will run away with this game but will the the Shield(or The S.H.I.E.L.D.) or even the two odd men out of the Beast Coast Alliance have anything to say about it is still left to see.

In Memoriam
(Remembering the evicted house guest.)

Alec

You always had a "funny" speech prepared when ever you had to talk in front of the other house guests. You always had plans on how to deal with Topaz but you never seemed to look to far ahead in the game. In your farewell interview you told Arisa that your biggest mistake was not voting Andrew out and you were right. Not only did that screw you over but it affected Topaz and Peter and now it looks like they both will be following you to the Jury house in the next few weeks. You were too smart for your own good and if you don't get chosen to come back by Canada it's because you weren't as sparkly as Gary.

Head of Household
(The HoH has all the power in the house.)

Competition: Plead Your Case

The game was pretty much a true or false game. Arisa would read quotes from people who were on the block and the house guests would choose whether the quote was actually said or if Big Brother just made it up.

Winner: Emmet

Nominees
(The two players currently nominated for eviction.)

Topaz: She is the most threatening to the Beast Coast and for that Emmet nominated her against someone who definitely wouldn't go home.

Talla: Talla was not the target and is apart of the Beast Coast alliance so she was too busy making ridiculous faces to be scared.

Power of Veto
(Winning the Power of Veto means you can change one of the nominations.)

Competition: You've Got Mail

Each player had a bin full of Styrofoam packing peanuts and mixed in with all that was two envelopes  After finding an envelope the contestants had to run back and put it in there mailbox. They could only bring one at a time and the first person finished would win the Power of Veto.

Winner: Peter

Ceremony: Peter chose not to use the Power of Veto and secured his spot as bottom of the totem pole.

In Memoriam Part Deux
(Remembering the evicted house guest.)

Topaz

Topaz, you slept so much that Big Brother had to sound alarms to keep you awake. Everything you did was a speed that would make a turtle look fast. And even though you think you were one of the best players in the game, you actually weren't very good at all. Hindsight is 20/20, but using you HoH to put AJ(the least threatening person in Big Brother history) on the block was a waste. You could have targeted Andrew and still have put someone like Emmet or Jillian (the biggest threats in the house and likely winners) up and still have gotten Andrew out. With all due respect you're out of the game because you made a mistake not because Alec did.

Head of Household Again
(The HoH has all the power in the house.)

Competition: Fly The Coop

The players were separated into chicken wire cubicles and the goal of the game was to put eggs with names on them(names of evicted house guests) in order from who was evicted first to who was the last person evicted. The catch was that the egg holders were on the outside of the chicken wire cubicles and they had to stick there fingers through the fence to lift the eggs into there spots.

(If you want to know the HoH competition winner highlight the space after winner.)
Winner: Jillian

Chevrolet Power Shift
(Big Brother sometimes likes to affect the game.)

I guess it's time for another Chevy Power shift but this time Canadians at home get to vote to bring one of the house guests in the Jury house back. Which means either Gary, Topaz, AJ or Alec are going to get to come back. If I had a guess it would be that it was between Alec and Gary and seeing how Canada has voted so far this year I'm leaning towards Gary as my prediction of who is coming back.

Random Thoughts
(Here are some of my random thoughts.)

-Topaz saying she was a better player than Alec is crazy. She barely did anything, in fact the only thing she did was facilitate an AJ exit.

- Talla is really starting to get on my nerves. I couldn't imagine living with her in the house for this long and I am extremely surprised someone hasn't told her to shut the hell up already.

- Peter could have saved Topaz from the block making Jillian put Andrew on the block and they would have had the votes to take out one of the Beast Coast members. Not only that but it would have given them a 50% shot at winning the HoH and putting another of the BC alliance out of the game. He didn't though and is now the next one to go.

- Was it just me or did the live crowd cheer extremely loud when ever someone voted to evict Alec?

Running Cast Grade: C
(Last Episode: B-)
(Grading the cast on an episode to episode basis.)

There are five people left in the house as of right now. The only thing that will change is there will  one returning house guest but based on how strong and tight nit the Beast Coast alliance is it is not likely to make much of a difference. Depending on when they bring the house guest back it could potentially swing the veto competition or even the vote but it isn't likely to change much else seeing as how even if the lose one member BC will still have the numbers. The first edition of Big Brother Canada looks like it might be coming to a sad slow end which would be extremely disappointing.
